About Simon
Simon Winegar was born in Utah in 1979 and grew up near West Bountiful. An artist from his earliest memories, Simon creates tonalist landscapes that aim to beautify the world and move the viewer — atmospheric oil paintings that capture the quiet beauty of the American West.
His work spans mountain ridgelines and open fields, historic barns, rural landscapes, and intimate still lifes. Simon's deep connection to Davis County is personal — he watched the agrarian land near his childhood home transform over the years, inspiring a multi-year painting series documenting vanishing Utah barns called "Bones of America."

Simon's paintings have been featured at the Springville Art Museum, the Museum of Church History and Art, and the International Museum of Contemporary Masters of Fine Art.
